rear trailing arm bushing replacemenet?
hello,
has any one replaced their rear trailing arm bushings yet?
any one used this tool before? for this r&r arm bushing job?
my main concern is about that tool kit. how good and quality is it?
is it worth getting it for work use?
any comments or responce is much appreciated.
thanx.

It looks like that tool will make it alot easier and save you time. To replace mine, I used a shop press to get it out. One like this http://www.harborfreight.com/c...32879
thanx for the link...
thats actualy the exact same link i read about the tool and the first and only time ive seen it. honda has a tool for that but it cost an arm and a leg.
i was wondering if any one else use that tool kit before.
im gonna order that tool kit with my snap-on dealer tomorrow.
hopefuly it will save me alot of time. usualy at work i knock them out the old-skool way without removing the arm and using a press. just a 2x4, punch and a good ol hamma
and it takes me about 35 mins for both sides but with this tool (wOw - gravy!) i can make up some more time.
thanx for the response, any one else?

Instead of buying the tool you can actually make it. All you need is a 2" steel coupler, 2" threaded plug, and large jaw pullers. The threaded 2" plug goes on one end of the coupler, which closes off the end of the 2" coupler forming the "cup" where the arm of the TA bushing goes in. Use a center punch to dimple the center of the 2" plug so that the jaw puller's point does not walk off when turned. Should not cost more than 40 bucks, even cheaper if you already have a large jaw puller.
