clutch cable snapped yesterday and i got used replacement that i want to put on...i never removed or installed it but it looks pretty straight forward. any hard parts that i should be aware of? does the cable just "hook" on to the fork and the pedal? any locking stuff? also how would i adjust it properly? i heard if its not adjusted properly it would prematurely wear out the clutch...thanks for any help or any webpages that can guide me
its real straight forward...disconnect the hook from the pedal assembly and then pull it out thru the firewall..then unscrew the clutch adjuster from the clutch fork ( i think is the fork) then the cable should pop right out...as far as adjusting it i would screw the new one in fairly tight..you do it with your hands anyway so you cant get it too tight...put the clutch in and turn your car on rev it up to like 4k and put it in first see if it grinds..if not your ok and you can adjust it from there..just dont super tighten the nut and youll be alright
