Y8 Intake Sensors???
I am looking into buying a D16y8 intake manifold, mainly because I heard that it is the best flowing stock intake manny. My question is will the manifold have everything my d15b7 intake manifold has on it, EACV, FIV (fast idle valve), the map sensor... ect.. I know it depends if the one I buy will have them on it but i guess my question is weather or not the y8 manifold actually has the spots for them. I have been looking at pictures (because I really cant think of a better way to find my answer) and I have found that the y8 manifold has sensors in different locations, for example the FIV is not in the same spot as it is in the b7 or z6 manifolds. So does anyone that has done this swap know for sure that the y8 manifold does have the spots and my original wire harness connectors will plug in all the same? Thanks, and as confusing as this is I hope it is understandable.

not all the sensors and plugs are the same. one difference is the iat sensor on the y8 its on the intake tube and on the b7 its on the intake manifold. you can use your stock tb also. i believe that's all of it

would this be of any help its a Y8 manifold swap onto a D16A6 motor
maybe you could use sum of the diagrams or any info as a reference

some obd2 and obd1 plugs are different u might have to do some rewiring. An example is my 96 dx hatch had 3 pin iacv the y8 mani has 2 pin. I had to rewire it. Its easy to do.
i have a 99 y8 manifold on my z6... the b7 and the z6 intake mannys are the same wich are the same as the y8.... just use your tb.. i used the idle air controll valve that came on the manifold it works fine... the white sensor thats on the drivers side.. the intake air temp you need to move it to the intake tube... theres a how to on here.. i just measured the size of the screws that hold it on and drilled 3 holes.. one for the sensor to go into and 2 for the screws.. screwed it into my intake tube and put some honda bond to seal it up .. it works fine
actually they are not the same.. the y8 manny is bigger.. but i meant the same as everything bolts up the same.. the y8 manny on my car helped out alot between the 5000 and 8500 rpm range
