Default Would this tranny work?

i tried searched and got mixed answers.

i have an Si transmission with the code pl3/9000
From what i have read the 88-89 si trannies have 20 splines and the 90-91 si trannies have 21 splines.

im planning on purchasing a 90 ef with a bad transmission.

Would i be able to use my si tranny in it?

also is the tranny from a 88-89 or 90-91.

any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

Shouldn't matter as long as yours has the same spline count..

aite cool. i checked out that link and i think i figured it out.

my tranny is from a 89. i'd have to use a 89 clutch kit on the d15b to make it fit. i think thats it. can someone confirm?

one more thing.. i also read that pl3/9000 could be a zc tranny. how do i check this?
