I wanna make a DIY icebox... I already know what to do about the resonator, BSQ has that covered for me.... I know what to do about the filter E2427, but I cant seem to find a good definitive answer on what to do with my aem sri.... What do i have to do to make it work with a diy icebox with the stock airbox???

you can just sell the aem sri and use your stock intake arm. if you want to keep the aem i believe you have to do some cutting.

 

Yeah thats waht i thought... i just cant seem to find anyone that has done it... how much cutting is needed and such.... details...

 

you can't keep ur current aem, too much cutting if yout think about it. With big spaces in your box it's efficiency is gone and ur mod becomes almost pointless.

I was using a K&N RU-2427 in the stock air box. I modified the end of an old stock filter to accept the K&N and connected it to the stock air tube. But I cut it after the 1st bend to accept a cheap 3" sri, which I hooked up to the throttle body. If you want the piece of the stock air tube which I cut to connect the filter and sri, let me know.
