Default Stick with D16A9 or go for a B series swap?

I have a Standard UK D16A9 CRX(130bhp). I have already bought Magnecor racing leads and NGK-R Plugs, FSE power boost valve, DC sports DAC cold air induction, Mugen ECU(8000rpm limiter), 4-2-1 DC sports manifold,a full custom exhaust, and a bored out throttle body! Only the leads, plugs, induction kit and custom exhaust have been fitted and I have noticed a considerable difference!!!

But a local garage are selling a complete swap from a b16 from a 1993 civic (a b16A2?) Should I go for it as where I live these are as rare as hen's teeth? My D16 only has 75000miles on it whereas the B16 has 145000miles on it?

Or would I be better sticking with the d series and finishing the project? the local garage reckons I will get about 185bhp after the work is carried out??? Is this true or do they just want my business?

cheers

ohhh bloody ...no way would u yield that much from a stock b16, much worse so it already has 145,000mi on it. stick with ur block. seems like he wants a sale.

unless you planning on spraying or boosting the D16, get the b16.

Thanks guys, think I will stick with the d series then? as I already have the parts (money spent!!!!!) Just looking for a fast A or B road blaster(esp case here in the country), rather than getting the max bhp from a motor! Was just wondering if B series would make a major difference on b series, obviously not?

Anyone recommend any other engine mods? Fast cams? Are they worth it? As major price in the uk?

cheers

p.s. You Americans love the old school Honda's!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry guys, forgot to add somethin'!

Would I get that much BHP(from mods) from the d series? As I haven't spent that much on the engine, or atleast for N/A engine?

cheers
