Hello,

I'm new to Honda's, I recently purchased a 2002 Honda Accord EX/V6 sedan. Great car, except the interior noise.

After a while the noise (shaking, rattling) from the dashboard became very annoying.

And occasionally the windshield makes a strange noise, when it happens I am afraid it's going to break.

Service managers are telling me that these are normal dashboard noises.

Is this issue "normal" with Honda's? I know what normal dashboard noises are, and I can't imagine why a 2002 model car will make this much noise.

Any advice or suggestions from you Honda experts?

 

No dashboard noise is normal. But it sounds like you have an inbalance somewhere. Mabye your tires need to be balanced. That manager is full of crap. If that's a dealer I would threaten to call American Honda.

 

Screws may have been taken out (from dash) and never replaced.

 

Agreed, after replacing my dashboard it squeaks like crazy at some spots becuase I lazied out and did not install all the screws.

 

mines rattles when i turn,shifts, and even when i stop...haha

its really annoying, but i tone it out. but my car was totalled and rebuilt, then resold.

i have been in ohter accords they dont make alot of noise in the dash tho.

what do you expect when you cluster is made by FORD.
