Default alternator or battery problem?

wassup guys! i have a 90 integra and my battery light is coming up on my dash. my lights are dimming and my radio turned off. the car runs fine. is it the battery, alternator or something else that is causing this?

Usually when the battery light is on it means its not taking a charge. Meaning your alt is bad. Go to autozone and get them checked its free.

Never had that problem w/ my Integra, but I've had that exact thing happen to me on 2 preludes, a toyota, a probe, and an RX7(junk), and it's always been the alternator.

Once the car is started and running, the alternator should be able to keep the car powered and running even w/o the battery. So if it's dimming while you're drivingit's either the alternator or alternator belt.
