ls vtec setup in a 96 honda civic hx
ok i have a 1996 honda civic hx 5 speed with a stock sohc vtec-e motor in it- needless to say this thing has less power then my vaccum cleaners its pathetic so a buddy of mine was selling a b16a2 obd2b motor out of a 99 civic si for 650 bucks bcuz he spun the crank bearings and rob bearings so i picked it up for dirt cheap and i need some help with the setup for ls vtec. i know it will be easiest if i get the golden eagle ls vtec conversion head gasket with the dowels and everything needed to run oil lines but i have a few questions...... where do i tap the head for the oil line, do i do the ls block the same way i would if i was doing a mini me vtec and pull out the oil jet plug thing...... another question is since my engine harness is obd2a and the motor is obd2b will the motor still plug in under the hood i know i heard the ecu from the obd2b wont work but thats ok bcuz i didnt get an ecu with the engine. i was also wonderign what i should do to let the motor break in properly i will now make a list of everything the motor will have some things i havent decided on brands yet so there open for suggestions...

1994 acura integra ls rods hasting rings
rod bearings (not sure the brand)
exedy stage 3 6 puck clutch spinning inside a b16a2 transmission
the crank will be turned and balanced
b16a2 head
aebs intake manifold (is this brand any good)
new valves springs retianers seats all that good stuff
aem cold air intake
dc sports 4-1 ceramic header
no cat
forza muffler
custom 2.5 inch exhaust
short shifter
thats pretty much the jist of my engine mods and stuff i have one other question since my car is a crumby hx i have a very strange motor mount on the driver side of my car- it doesnt have the little metal holder where the motor mount bolts to it looks like into the frame- and since i got the motor mounts from the si would that all bolt into the car and could i use the stock engine mount from the si motor and the mount that goes in the car from the stock d series motor if not what should i do????? i need alot of help im a n00b any help is appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 jdm1piece is my AIM or droppedeg6hatch@charter.net

hey i dont know the answer to your question, but I have a slow hx with the CVT that I'm going to convert to 5sp. still need the 96-98 hx manual engine harness. let me know if you sell yours!

what are you looking to pay you know u also need the manual pedal assembly a center console with shift boot(optional) and shift linkage after u get the manual harness right?
I got the tranny, clutch & flywheel, pedal assembly, shift linkage, ecu, clutch master cyl & slave cyl, axles, rear mount. been collecting for a while lol, thinking my crappy cvt will make it till summer.
I didn't think about the center console, I guess I'll need that as well, yours is grey right? If so I'll give you $50 for the harness and $25 for that center console piece w/ boot.
