how many of you have installed a bad thermostat
just like the title says . i know i have bought 2 bad ones before from autozone both times. the recient one sticks and this morning i went to troubleshoot the cooling system and confirmed the new thermostat wasnt opening(radiator was cold to touch as well as lower hose , car was well above normal operating temp). im just curious how often this occurs.
most aftermarket thermostats are garbage, i had this problem a few times before. Stick with an oem honda thermostat, its $15 from the dealer and includes the gasket

used an pep boys one once only lasted a few months.
spoon and mugen open earlier to keep temps lower.

IMO you can't go wrong with an OE termo on a street car. Remember that lower temp is only a good thing to a certian degree. IMO you should only go with a lower temp thermo if you are also runnign a radiator cap that allows you to get more heat out of the system.
Yes I know that sounds strange, but I don't feel like going into the thermodynamics of a motor right now.
