1996 Accord wont pass coolant to overflow tank. ?
My girlfriends 1996 accord seems to have a problem with her cooling system, the car doesnt over heat or anything anymore
(when she first bought the car we replace thermostat, coolant temp sensor and some other sensor i forget my the thermostat.)
it seems like the coolant is not over flowing to the overflow tank and there is plenty of coolant in the system. and when the car is off and cooled when you try to squeeze the main coolant line that comes off the radiator is it really hard as if coolant is in there with pressure and when i squeeze it on my 94 accord it seems that the coolant flows out when squeezed. the car doesnt overheat or anything but i thought it was odd. we both have lx 2.2 non vtec no ABS andi was just wondering what could cause this?
The hoses are clean and there is nothing to stop the flow the resivor tank is clean

Radiator Cap.
It's what controls flow back & Forth to the overflow bottle. It may be responsible for the residual pressure you're perceiving.

replace the cap with a new one. If there is any stop leak in there, flush the system to get rid of it.
Its winter but definitely get that thing replaced ASAP. That extra pressure built up can cause your radiator to spring a leak! Not to mention Honda radiators (or anything with plastic vs aluminum) are utter crap and prone to cracking around the cap.
i had already flushed the coolant (with out using any flushers) and replace it with new coolant. ill try to swap radiator caps with her (because my car is in the garage untill paint) and see if that does anything and if it doesnt? what could it be? i know there isnt any stop leaks stuff because the radiator looks new (when we bought her car) and i will post what happend once the car was drivin with a different cap.
Thanks
