Default Play in Clutch - Sorry for posting in Accord section by mistake!

Hi Guys,

I live here in Cork, Ireland. I recently bought a Japanese import Integra. Black, unmodded, 1.6, 1998. Alls fine, but for the following, I would appreciate your input:

I move off in first and then as i put the car into 2nd gear the car gives a slight jerk/shudder - not too far away type of feel that may happen pre stall. However if I let the Clutch out very slowly alls fine. Its as if the clutch is very sensitive. This is not so bad if not occurent, when in 3rd etc. I notice that the clutch when depressed has about an inch of play [ "loose" ] before point of engage [ if this is the right phrase, this when the car is in or out of gear. Its as if the clutch needs 'tightening'. If I look up underneath the stearing Wheel area dash section at the 'top' of the clutch pedal, I notice a bolt which can be adjusted.

Please note Im not a car expert by any means, so go easy on me with the tec stuff

Heres a shot of the car, at night, not great, but gives you an idea:
