Ok i got this 94 CX hatch and im going to put my system in.. I GOT 8" speakers in the rear~!~ WTF~!~ also i picked up a pair of audiobahn 10" comp. speakers.. put them in a 2.5 cube box thats split ported.. replacing the front door speakers with Eclipse replacements... my front passengerside speaker doodad is broken tho so pm me if u got one!~! what i really need to know is whats a good deck for a decent price... (dont care about no stupid ipod or hd or any of that) and what would be a good set of 8" to slap in them rears...?

A 94 Civic should have 6.5" speakers in the rear, not 8", in fact no Honda/Acura ever came with an 8" speaker.

If by "doodad" you mean oem speaker mounting plate, you can pick them up at an auto wrecker for under $5, but if you want the best sound out of you door speakers, make custom ones out of MDF.

There are lots of good basic HUs out there, maybe an Alpine, or Panasonic, why not check out your local retail outlets, look for something you like the looks and sound of 94

 

check out the Kenwood KDC-X589. decent bang for the buck plus a great warranty. I've had lots of different brands, but my last 5 head units have all been Kenwood, and I have yet to be disappointed.

 

i just looked again... there 8's.. wish i had a digi camera would show you what im talkin about... heh... still looing for them super seven horns and horn tweeters kthx!

 

Well if they are 8" you own the only 94Honda Civic with stock 8" speakers in the in the rear, that I have ever seen or heard about. 94
