So close to getting an ITR I can taste it... A couple questions :)
Ok, I've been losing sleep over what car to get... And I have decided **** THIEVES they're not stopping me from getting my dream car... Dammit.
Anyway, My ITR will mainly be used as a daily driver. I've read a lot of things that say the ITR isn't really a comfortable car, it's noisy, etc... Well, I drive a shitty 1991 CRX that rattles like a god damn rattle snake, and makes more noise than a semi truck... So an ITR can't POSSIBLY be worse than this.
Any reason an ITR would make a bad daily driver (besides all the theft/vandalism issues)? I mean, it has a stiffer suspension, so will bumps be worse? It can't be worse than my CRX. And it's noiser... but I like car sounds... so that doesn't matter either.
Is there anything else?

It's a beautiful daily driver.
The suspension is only too stiff for the geriatric cadillac crowd (sorry).
I can't think of much, if anything that would preclude daily driver use, except for especially foul winter weather (inches and inches of snow).

How does it do in the winter with a set of snow tires and some steelies? Driveable? My CRX was pretty bad, but it didn't have antilock breaks or any of that jazz.

W/snow tires they do pretty well.
It hasn't snowed much here in VA the last couple years, however ... I've even driven mine in the snow on the PA TPK on worn 032R's, and it wasn't that bad till I realized just how "sloppy" it really was ... out that day.

Get it. You won't have any regreats. Mine has 14,000 miles in 7 mos. of daily driving. It's awesome (but, beater is in the near future).
This past winter with snow tires I had absolutely no problems.
In fact it was kinda fun. Maybe if the snow got over 6" high it might be a different story.
For daily driving the suspension is fine. I wouldn't be suprised if the ITR was more comfortable than your CRX.

32,000mi in one year and have loved every minute of it. Only wimps would complain about the ride.
I drive mine 60miles a day, and its awesome. I would suggest doing what I did, get 2 sets of wheels, one set with summer tires on them, and a second set with winter tires.

when it snowed in washington, i did ok. i have summer tires (pilot sport) which are horrible tires for snow condition, but as long as you drive carefully, you'll do fine. but i have to admit that i could not climb a 1 degree incline. so on a normal basis, even with a summer tire it's ok. with all season tires, better. with winter tires, i'm sure it's fine but only as long as you are aware that the winter tires don't make your car free from any slippage...

i finally got my itr about a year ago, and i have never looked back, it takes me to the univ. and back every day..... and as for the noise @ 6000k and the firm ride....THAT is the very reason i bought it,....some times i actually turn the radio off just so i can hear the engine rev.....

I talked to my boss about getting a employment contract for 2 years... If this happens, I'm IN R country baby

If you're going to get 2 sets of wheels for the R, get a set for the street and a set for the track...
The ONLY downside of driving an ITR is those fu*king thieves
If you can find a good way keeping your R in a safe place.....ITR is a 100% great car to own.
