I went to Michaels craft store, been looking all over for this dam paint everytime I see a store. I finally find the transparent paint and all they have is this yellow stuff.

Product number is 24504 49024, its kind of a stoplight yellow/amber

I was under the impression they have an amber bottle but this lady said NO!!

Will this stuff work?

 

yep, comes out heavy. it will come out foggy, but clear up as it dries

I bought the orange krylon paint last summer... it works OKAY. It leaves a 'matte' finish though... and light can sometimes have difficulty shining through.


I would suggest just applying as many coats as you'd like until you are satisifed with the colour.

If anything, try calling another michaels... I'm pretty sure the one in Oshawa has them.

 

yea i used it on my fogs and it works perfect but i also bought clear coat and i put 2 laeryes of that u cant even tell there painted

are you sure you got the stained glass paint? mines came out real nice and shiny and very transparent.

120% sure... I'm a perfectionist, so maybe what I consider not smooth, is smooth to others?

 

i used the yellow staind glass paint from micheals. the more you put on the darker (amber) it becomes. good luck, and post pix when you are done messing up your ****.

 

us ethe Tamiya transparent amber froma hobby store. it looks perfect.

I used the Krylon on some custom-made clear lenses for my S2k. 4 coats and they came out quite nice:

Um if your looking for amber you better buy krylon ORANGE stained glass paint.

i couldnt find any around here(tried 4 diff michaels,few hobby shops and notta)
i bought from misterart.com little expensive at 13 shipped but i was tired of driving around looking....

 

I got a 4 new cans of ORANGE i'll change you one for that yellow one.. I need it for my fog lights..

What happens when you paint the white bulbs inside yellow? do they throw yellow light?&gt;

Don't use it change it for a can of my orange paint LOL
