Hey guys, not sure if there is an easy fix for this but here goes. I have a 2000 s2k and the paint on the climate control fan tab (not sure what the technical name for it is, sorry) on the front console is chipping off! What's odd is that it seems to be chipping off to the side of the tab also, however I never touch there when adjusting the fan. I tried scraping at it a bit to see if it would come off even more, but it doesn't seem to be flakey or anything. My question is: What can I do to "fix" this so the tab doesn't look so mottled (the orange console backlight shines through the chipped parts at night). What I don't get is why it only happened to the climate control tab and the not volume adjuct tab, and seemingly overnight too.

 

mine did it and my brothers did it in his 02.

just go to honda and grab a new one and swap it.

Yep, that's about the best you can do.

Who else's has a gas pedal on their S2K where the finish has worn off the bottom?

 

Awesome I had not even thought about that. Hopefully it's just a "plug and play" kind of piece.
