Need tips for removing original 19YO exhaust manifold from stock motor
Hey Guys,
I don't normally post in here, but my 87 Teg is closest in age to the EF's so I figured you could help me the most.
I bottomed out somewhere and the downpipe of my exhaust hit the ground, breaking the studs that connect the downpipe to the manifold.

I am going to remove the manifold, and I need tips. The car is 19 years old, 140k. What are some good things to do to the manifold before removing it. Should I soak the selflocking nuts in PB blaster?
I figured those of you who have done swaps would know what to do already.

Air tools?
I just removed a manifold from a 91 that has spent it's entire life in WI and MN, got the air ratchet on the manifold nuts and they came right off with no additional help.
As long as the nuts are still in reasonable shape, still have their edges, you shouldn't have much of a problem..six point sockets are key here-
