Default Torque is the key

Anyone know what mod will give me some major torque. In other words where is a good place to start if I want to add torque. Not a turbo I am talking all motor. Also I am not interested in any Ls/Vtec swaps either. I wanna throw people into there seats. Money isnt a issue really. Right now I just need some ideas.

All motor?

Compression and more displacement...

Stroke it, bore it, high compression. Also, tighter gearing, which will multiply the TQ and make you feel like you have more TQ.

i agree with berkel, i couldn't say it better myself. But all those things require a large financial budget.

Longer stroke gives you more torque as well, but its worse for longevity and high revving applications.

4-2-1 header (slightly) and supercharge the heck out of it. Now spray on top of this, and you've got a torqualicious combo...

Get a domestic. I'm serious, because you'll spend all that money on getting torque and it STILL won't have as much as a stock domestic.

Of course if you turbo that's a whole different story, but you don't want to turbo. I don't know why, because that's the ONLY way to get lots of torque out of a small 4 banger.

Well, there isn't much for low end torque as far as bolt-ons. AEM CAI's add a TON of midrange though, the famous 4000-5000 rpm spike.

get a chevy 350 V8 from Kragen and throw it in the hatch... some custom metal work and a lil love will give you a 300+hp and 350+lb/ft or torque as well as RWD if you decide to throw a Chevy or Ford rear end in along with the tranny. Sounds like a lot of work, but I seen a guy with a CRX do that. He ran 9's all day at the track and this was a LONG time ago... over a year ago, at least.

So how fast will my automobile if I had 460 hp and 1450 lbs of torque. I dunno, but semi's aren't that fast compared to cars.

To answer you a question, When I got my over bored I gained about 5 lbs, but when I got my fidanza flywheel the car felt like it had more torque and also it accelerated a little quicker. NOS, would be able to increase you torque without breaking your bank, you should be able to gain abut 40lbs of torque from a 65 shot.

But, then cars don't weigh over 5 tons, do they? OR have the aerodynamics of a brick wall.

uh turbo.

anything over 150lbs of torque in a NA engine is very expensive.

Go turbo, go nos, so supercharger...
