What Rims, seen it all before but help a brother quick
Bought a wilwood Brake kit 12.2 inch disc and it dosent fit behind my Rota Gt3, (16''), will a Rota Grid fit, im thinkin the gold grid with a polished lip, but im tied between that, the c8 in bronze and the slipstream in black, anyone got any pics of those on a silver 00 si. I really need your help thanks.
i had a test fit and it looks like im gonna need one BIG *** spacer!!,anyone had the same probs with GT3's.
Thanks again
Thanks again
like stated above, buy some wheel spacers. Or get a wheel with a bigger offset. I have some 16 inch volk le37t's with a +38 offset that barely clear my wilwoods.
I know big brakes are expensive and you want to keep them mint but, I have seen people shave a little material off of the caliper and repaint them to make the whell fit with the caliper. Just an Idea
yeh i see what your sayin but im thinkin il need to shave a lot, it looks like il need like a 15mm spacer though so shavin is kinda out of the question. its really to close to the rim!!! and a 15mm spacer is a joke!

rota doesn't make rims intended for big brakes.
just buy some 15mm spacers, you should be fine.

Rota doesnt make rims for big brakes, but the companies that originally designed the wheel did (i.e. C8's are a copy of Mugen and therefore will clear large brakes).
Spacers wont fix your problem or help at all, you need to get rid of the GT3's.
I was in the exact same situation. I had the Wilwood four piston calipers and 11" rotor on my Integra. I test fitted my friends 16" Rota C8's and it cleared the caliper perfectly. I then test fitted my other friends Volk TE37's and those cleared beautifully as well.
So I go out and buy my GT3's, 16" and the same offset as the C8's and TE37's. But they didnt fit! So I buy spacers, but in order to clear the calipers the spacers had to be so thick that the wheel stuck out from the side, lowrider style. So spacers are a no go.
Bottom line, 16" GT3's just wont clear your brakes. The Grids (copy of the TE37's), C8's, C10's, will fit for sure. The wheels that have alot of spokes like the GT3's will probably give you trouble.
Good luck!
