I think my 88 civic will fail smog test..what could be causing the grey smoke?
I recently notice that my aging 88 honda civic lx has been smoking grey smoke through the muffler lately. Its not constant smoke but it will happen a few times a day.
THe stock muffler has never been replace and i notice there is a hole that rusted away over the years...
Please tell me what could be causing the smoke coming from the muffler and give me an estimate of how much its going to cost If its going to cost a lot my dad says he will sell the car and get a new one which i dont want because this car has been great to us for 18 years and it would be to without. The car still runs very well..its just the stupid smoke.
The car is completly stock :-D
