Default HID problem.

Well i just put in my HID's and they look great but the only thing is that my friend was telling me that i should look in to a headlight heavy duty ballast. The only thing is that i cant find them anywhere i look up Piaa and Hella but no luck. I just wanted to know if anybody know's a place that has them its for a 00 Civic SI. Thanks

By the way the kit is a 3000k from http://www.xenonpros.com the kit looks great i love the yellow.

Well most HID kits don't draw enough current to require a harness. However http://www.suvlights.com is your best bet.

your friend doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. there's no such thing as "heavy duty ballast" for hid kits.

i ran my hid kit on my EG hatch with no issues. didn't use a relay or anything. factory headlights already have relays to handle 65w bulbs (stock 9003 bulbs). HIDs only draw 35w when running.

Just because an HID is only 35 watts doesn't mean ****. The stock wiring is only meant to handle something like 12 amps. HID's use something like 30 amps untill the bulbs are warm.

HID kits are made to work with stock wiring so they dont draw as much as a real HID system does.

Either way, if you are worried go to SUV lights and get their harness.
