take the other axle out and use a skinny screwdriver or something of the like and hit the end of the axle with a hammer to pop it out... unless you have lsd you will need to get around the rod in the differential so a small screwdriver usually works best for me
They usually seem stuck. The easiest way to to use a pry bar from the top and the bottom at the same time. If you only use one you're forcing the axle to the side and it's only worked for me once. It never takes more than 3 seconds for me when I'm underneath and someone else is prying from the top.

acttually it pissin me off i ahve taken axles out dozens of times never had a problem til now</TD></TR></TABLE>
Using the "small screwdriver" method from the other side will most likley yield you no results. The problem is most likley the circlip on the end has popped out and it now wedged in the diff. I had this happen to me. The problem is there is no real "good" way to remove it. I stuck a pickle fork behing the axle and hit it with a 5lb sledge a few times and out it came. It didn't damage the tranny or diff, but the axle was gone. I guess thats a good reason to get Napa axles and have a lifetime warranty.

Excessive clearance now on the carrier bearings from removing axle? Broken diff? Metal pieces being chewed up by gears?
