Hello all, I am Ralph Perea A-Z Motorsports in Sandy Utah. I am also the Race Director for Rocky Mountain Raceways.
We are proposing to have a Sport Compact event here at Rocky Mountain based off the same type of format NHRA uses for their National Events.
The proposed date is July 21 st and 22nd.
We (Rocky Mountain Raceways) would like to hear from you all out there who would be interested in participating? We have not got any info on the type of purse yet.
At this point we are looking at all the classes Pro Front on down, so please post back and let me know what you think.

That would be sick, if my car is fast enough by then i would so race

 

gives me a reason to visit family in utah...id go just to spectate

I'm not sure how many people the stands will hold, but this kind of event will pack them full.

 

the hope would be to have a qualifing/timetrial session friday evening, in conjunction with a midnight drags.... that would give all the sport compact racers some real good exposer. And prime the crowd to come back on saturday for the main event..
I screwed up I put Pro Front on down, it should of included Pro Rear Too

 

As far as crowds go RMR can seat almost 8000 people, I think with the Local support and who would come we will be able to handle it...
But remember at a drag race not everyone is in the stands at once! there will be a lot walking the pits too.
