Default 94 Civic EX w/Auto Trans. Question

For some reason the gear selector will not unlock when I press the brake pedal and try to shift it into a gear. Not sure what the probem is - it worked then it didn't? I've also noticed I don't hear the "clicking" sound when I tap the brake pedal - could it be a relay? If so where is is located?

I was able to use the manual unlock located on the gear selector but I'd like to fix the problem...

Thanks in advance,
Ken

Do your brake lights still work, the harness may have fallen out of the pin switch, also if the shift release solenoid did break its easy to change

Ok so I checked the brake lights and nothing... My guess its the brake light switch on the brake pedal - didn't think that would cause the interlock to not function???

I'll replace it tomorrow.
