Resonator Box Removal
My boy with a 2002 RSX type S just put on an Injen Short ram intake. Whenever he hit the Vtec, the intake just scream (louder than his exhaust, Tanabe Racing Medallion). As soon as sat on his car, I knew that I wanted one too, cause I just love that sound. So I bought one and put it on my car,95 gsr. But it doesn't scream like it was on my boy's car whenever I hit vtec. Do I need to remove the lower resonator box, or do I just need to reset the ECU???
take out the resonator box and buy a cold air intake. if u dont want to buy the cold air intake just make some pipes leading from the bumper to the intake.
i suggest u make your own cold air intake, its really easy.

I think one of the problems is with difference in design betweeen the two cars. My Civic with just a filter on the stock pipe was much louder than my Integra GS-R with intake and filter. I have read that is something to do with the way the two cars are designed.

You won't ever be able to duplicate the sound of his car with your GSR. He drives an RSX, and his engine, if you'll remember is turned around. His filter basically is pointing at the firewall. The driver is right in the same proximity, so sound is going to be
.
In your car, the filter, regardless of short-ram or cold-air style, is in the passenger-side front of the car, far away from the driver. This is why the sounds will differ greatly.
