bumpstops
when i go to replace my suspension with my GC coilovers and new struts, the instructions for the GC's say to cut the bumpstops at a certain place. i havent seen my stock ones yet but the car has 151,000 miles on it. think i should order 4 new ones or do bumpstops stay pretty unworn? I'm thinking they dont after constant abuse in suspension travel.

I would concure, by now your originals are either hammered within an inch of their lives, or outright missing. They are even more important when dropping a suspention since they're the only thing between metal/metal contact (bad)
As it is, you'll be reminded of EVERY single bump, pothole, seam and wtf that you run up against. The B'stops just make it so's you don't break things.

so i need to go ahead and order 4 new ones? i dont know why but someone told me i only needed two for the rear. I would think that i need 4, one for each strut am i right?
so far i've only been able to find bumpstops for the rear struts but i havent been able to locate bumpstops for the front struts. Do the fronts have bumpstops? or should i order more to go on the front struts. At $16 a piece OEM that's an extra 32 bucks that i dont want to spend if i dont need them or have to get them.
Let me look it up. They are either mounted to possible impact points on the control arms, or are stacked on the strut shaft between the strut body and the upper Strut Mount/Bearing Assembly.

Yup, I was correct. The front bumpstops are installed over the strut shaft during installation. Which works out right? You're replacing the struts for your lowering project anyway.... and you'd be futzing with them anyway.

Thanks P. I'm almost completely ready to order all my new suspension parts. just doing the tedious work of finding out who to order from in order to get the cheapest prices on my parts. Might you know where i can find bumpstops for a rather affordable price? the only place i have been able to find them at among a few sites that i frequent is tasauto.com and at $16 a piece, that's hefty when im ordering 4 of them. Any help on a cheaper price would be great. Thanks.

jbeckford1,
Yes the Item number 12 is the bumpstop. It does not look like a typical bump stop because the ones for your car also have a dust boot attached to them.
