My friend just bought a 6th gen honda accord (2000). I really dont know much about the accords (never really got into the accords) and she was wanting HID headlights. I was wondering if they made oem HID headlights for this gen accords (i'm pretty sure that the usdm version does not but was wondering if there were any jdm versions that were HID)
Would like oem hid and not the hid kits, but if you have had good experience with hid kits let me know which brand you went with. Also retrofitting hids on their headlights, off what cars are you using to retrofit hids.

I don't believe any 6th gen Accord came with HIDs anywhere in the world.

For retrofitting HIDs, people have used systems from BMW, the S2000, Audi, etc. You can use just about any projector and ballast from any car. Someone on here even retrofitted the reflector from a CL/TL to retain the stock look without the glare.

 

Philadd is correct, neither the USDM (U.S.Domestic) or JDM (Japanese Domestic) offer H.I.D. Headlamps for Honda's.
It might be worth doing a GOOGLE!! search for "HID Conversion" 'cuz this is a popular topic; and who knows?, someone may be offering custom retro's. It's worth an hour of your time if you're that interested.

I'm not exactly sure. I just know that someone did it and that I saw the pics. I would imagine you would need to buy CL/TL headlights, tear them down, and figure out a way to swap the reflector.

I don't know the process myself though...

 

Thanks Philadd and P adams, i thought so for no oem hids being available for the accord. Retrofitting i guess would be way to go.
