Default supercorsa on the street?

i needed a new tire today since my dunlops were down to the wear bar, i got a deal on a used super corsa for 80$ installed with 80 percent tread, i tried doing a search but nothign came up.

i did other serachs on other sites and some ppl say its good once u get a track day outta it. etc. other ppl say no go on these on the street since race tires will probably take forever or if they ever warm up to operating temps.

i rode home today and just rode normally felt good to me. this is just gonna be tempoary tire for at least this month while i save up for a pilot or m1.

the guy i got the tire from is a good guy and he knows im generally still a new rider. he told me it was a race tire which i already know, he knows i ride conservtivley.

ok my question is anyone use these on the streets?

A friend of mine uses SC race-takeoffs for commuting. The tires will never heat up properly, so they won't be as sticky as street-oriented tires at street-speeds.

Other than that, you should be fine. Just don't grab a handful of throttle or brake (or BOTH!) while in a turn.

I'm running them on my gsxr and havent had any problems. Just be a little a little more careful on them in the damp/cold. Just use them until they wear out

silence you socaler. Its been pretty nippy at night up here...low 40's, high 30's

ba4, its the damp you have to worry more about. I almost highsided once when I got a tiny throttle happy on a turn. In the cold, just take it easy for the first mile or so and you're good

you guys suck. it's currently 15 degrees with sleet and freezing rain here. my poor superhawk is tucked away in the garage not to see the streets again until it warms up to the 40's at least...

Will the supercorsa's or the pilot powers last as long on the street as a Dunlop 208. Im going to need new tires soon and was contemplating trying the pilot power.

alot of people run take-offs on the street, just like the other guys said, becareful the first mile or so. its a cheap alternative and stickier than stocks. i ran them when i got a nail in my tire and was strap for cash

two different categories....the supercorsa = DOT race tires....Pilot Powers = street oriented tires. If you're not taking your bike to the track and looking for more mileage (not to mention great tire), get the Pilot Powers

Oh, it was a fairly cold morning ride to work today - mid 40's. Had be a wuss and wear thermals
