no power when vtec kicks why??
i have a LSVTEC set up, b16 head with sk2 intake manifol skunk2 springs & retainers and skunk2 stage 2 cams..... block is mild built with CTR pistons....
here's the problem....i ran the motor with stock b16 cam, motors runs good vtec pulls good, but after installing the sk2 st2 cams, low end is badass but when vtec kicks it loses power, cars pulls back and slows down....vtec kick at bout 5600krpm maybe too soon for vtec engagement on the sk2 st2 cams......??? advice lmk......

Oil level has nothing to do with the lift and duration of the cams at a given RPM.
On another note, the S2S2's like an engagement between 5600-5900 RPM most of the time.
Get your car on a dyno, and tune it.

oil level does have to do with vtec...because if you dont get enough oil pressure, then that big lift and long duration of the vtec lobe will not work...

he said that before his vtec was fine, so only if he lost a lot of oil with changing cams this could be the problem. it's tuning
