This guy brings me his car... its a b16a obd1 running a chipped po6 ecu. We swapped my old gsr dizzy on... its not the dizzy. He was getting a random code for the TPS, so I had another and put it on. No dice...
It will rev all the way to 8, but only if you rev very slowly. If you mash it it just bogs like no other.
There is a dent in the oil pan, and the fuel filter needs to prolly be replaced... man, other than that I just dont know!!
Anyone have ideas?

Ya, fuel filter is going to be done, and he said they were new plugs, but they could be bosh or something, so who knows. Well check them too....
Apart from the aforementioned timing, fuel filter, plugs, and o2 sensor, ask him what brand of gas he uses. Could be some shitty arco gumming up the works.

i had a car with a similar problem and turned out to be a clogged cat, i know it doesnt explain it being at the changeover but it was the same on this car. mine was a 95 gsr integra, so basically the same.
when the changeover happens the motor is trying to get more exhaust through the cat but it just wasnt having it.

are you sure vtec is actuating?......there could be something clogged in the vtec seleniod assembly not allowing vtec to work right....jut an idea......
Clogged fuel pump, or clogged fuel filter...probably the pump. That's what was wrong with mine, the walboro got clogged from rust or what not in my old tank. On the dyno when VTEC would come in fuel pressure would drop like a dead bird, the car would bog...it just sucked
Replaced the tank, cleaned out the pump filter

Thanks for all the suggestions... The throttle body is for sure clean, I cleaned it when I took it off.
A little more info... I guess this just started happening one day all the sudden. Thanks again for all the suggestions~!

all of a sudden could definately be the cat, as maybe a piece of the honeycomb broke off and is now blocking the exit.

Mine reacted all the sudden. The fuel pump was gradually clogging, but never bogged like hell till it hit the dyno that day...that's why it was so weird to me.
