Good Mornin'

Could someone please explain what the extra red rear fog brake light on the back of UK ITRs is for and if there is an extra switch for it, etc?

Is it a good idea and if so, where can I get one?

BTW. It has nothing to do with the brake/ brake light. And in Holland you are only allow to switch it on when it's foggy and the view is less than 50 meters.... Otherwise it will blind the drivers behind you. It's like a high beam red light!!!
