D15 wiring harness on b16 engine: does it put out same horespower.
I swapped in a b16 engine into my 92 civic and I ended up using my stock SOHC non-VTEC harness because my b16 one was right hand drive. My Q is: does the d15 harness put out the same horsepower as the b16 one would. I know it sounds like a stupid question but I had heard the d15 harness puts out like 10 hp less than the b16 one, I heard this from somewhere, can anyone confirm this. Thanks
Ummm...no, why would it? Unless the VTEC engages at a different point, or you don't add a VTEC wire, if you even need one, that makes very little sense. IDK, just wait for a fact-based answer I guess.
I was thinking the same thing but I was not 100% sure. I just want to know if I am getting the full potential from my engine.
I know, I know, I know, It sounds stupid and is stupid, I was just asking. Apparently the person that said that was a dumbass. Thanks anyway for the responses.
