How to Fix Mangled Rear Quarters?
Well I'm finally getting ready to work on my exterior and that includes me fixing my rear quarters that are completely fucked from rust. I've seen replacement panels but I forgot where to find them. Who's got the link? Has anyone done this? How does it work? I want an OEM look.
Thanks.
Thanks.
you should get them from the dealer. seriously, the book time is 12 hours for the drivers side and 8 for the passenger. it is a lot of work, there is spot weld drilling, glue grinding and panel cutting involved. if you don't have body skills, don't do it yourself. the aftermarket ones do not fit without a hassle.

It's ******* $400<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by littleredcivic »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">it is a lot of work, there is spot weld drilling, glue grinding and panel cutting involved. if you don't have body skills, don't do it yourself</TD></TR></TABLE>Don't ever tell me that crap.
you didn't want to know there was lots of work involved? or that i offended you by saying "if you don't have body skills"?? i'm not being disrespectful, just to let you know. i just want to make sure you know that the thing is NOT easy to put on. i watched the workers at my uncles body shop put on a qtr panel on a m3 and it does not look like fun.

Didn't you post an aftermarket solution a while back? And it wasn't as hardcore.
