94 honda won't turn over.
I have a 94 honda accord the car was driving fine yesterday and now it does not want to turn over. It sound like it want to but doesn't. I checked the wires and battery and they are fine.
So your saying the motor spins but will not start? Could be a number of things. Get it nice and quiet in your car and turn the key to on (2 clicks) and listen for a click when your check engine light goes off. If there is no click you may have a bad main relay. If there is a click it may be a coil or ignitor.
If it doesn't enven spin be sure you have enough power and good connections. If that's ok you MIGHT have a bad starter.

i wish that people would be more definite in defining WON'T TURN OVER ... does it mean cranks but won't start or doesn't crank at all.. because diagnostic is totally different then...

to the OP:
do what MooGoCow3 said and let us know what you come up with.
on a side note, my girls 95 Jimmy just did something similar a week or two ago. Was running fine and then the next day would crank but wouldn't start. That day and the next were raining so I didn't do anything. Then the next day it wasn't raining and the car started up without a problem. So I figured it had to of gotten moister in the ignition system some how, maybe a cracked cap or something. So we replaced the cap, rotor, wires and plugs ( it was due for a tune-up anyway) and now no problems.

turn off your caps lock. Makes it seem like your yelling. and if you are yelling, you need to calm down a bit.
also, you didn't really answer deserthonda's question. All you did was restate what you said in your first post but in caps.
When you turn the key, does the motor crank and just not fire up.
or...
When you turn the key, does the motor do nothing? No cranking or anything?

if it cranks then it has nothing to do with battery or starter... now you need to diagnose if it is lack of fuel or lack of spark....remove tube that goes to throttle body .....have a friend crank car over, spray some carb cleaner in there if car starts it is lack of fuel........main relay, fuel pump, ( out of gas. yes i have seen that on a few occasions ) ....... if still no start. pull a spark plug wire, hook up a screwdriver to it and ground it have someone crank and see if u get spark ..if no spark,,, could be coil, rotor . cap, ignitor..ignition switch ... try these quick tests and let us know ..

The car is starting up now and it takes a few tries. Before it turns on sound like something is poping then is starts. I have to put my foot on the gas so it could start. It has a strong smell of gas once it starts. Could it be the fuel filter?

What did you do, other than pressing the gas, to get the car to start? Or did it pretty much just decide to start up now?
