same concept with the itr's? id love to have HID's but the price for them is whats holding me back is there a kit specifically for gsr's?

Yeah you can, the kits are the same except you get a 9006 D2S bulb. Check around the prices have gone down alot since i got mine. its about 450 at a local shop here

 

Yup. I recommend getting a complete philip's kit. Philip's ultinon bulbs and ballasts.

 

ITR, GSR is same kit.
I was in on the first groupbuy in the ITR forum last year... bought a setup of phillips/hella HID and slapped them in my GSR, they are INCREDIBLE!

I got hid's a few weeks ago. Love them. Phillips ballast and osram 6k. I have pictures if you are interested. I plan on taking more pics in a few weeks, since I think they are getting whiter. My friends say it is in my mind

 

I know the HID's are great, my mom has them on her TL. However its $500 buck for the kit. I would recomend getting the PIAA Plasma blue bulbs. There a lot cheeper and actualy brighter than HID's. 5250K - sunlight
5000K - Piaa Plama blue
4300K - Piaa HID
4150K - Piaa Extreem whight

 

PIAA's suck. I had them a few years ago when they first came out. I hope you are referring to color temperature only and not lumens. No blue coated halogen bulb will even have the output of a normal halogen bulb with the same wattage. You can get hid brightness(lumens) with halogen, but you need over 110 watts at the minimum.

As far as price, HID's are cheaper than most mods that we put on our cars. What is a $500 mod on a car that costs 23k new? How much have your mods cost you?

who paid $23k for a GS-R? i wouldnt of paid over $20k brand new but i bought mine used!
