Default some help with my gsr mild build

got a eg ahtch with gsr swap looking to rebuild soon just wondering if i put a ls crank and ls rods in it and get the rods shot peened what kinda compression could i safely run on the stock shoot peened rods looking into going with jdm type r (11.6:1) or usdm type r pistons (11.1:1) i am just going to run ctr cams with either omni or type r valve train any info or different ideas will be greatly appreciated also this is a street car that will be driven daily on pump gas thanks

that would be a pretty good combo. check out this site to check what your compression will be. they calculate your compression for you. http://www.c-speedracing.com

Usdm itr pistons are a nice choice and they are inexpensive. You dont really need to shotpeen the rods just change the bolts out for some arps and make sure you get them resized.
