Default SRS Light (EG)

I was doing some work around the steering column and decided it might be best for me to unplug the airbag just to be safe. Well now that I am done with the work, I plugged the airbag up but the dash light is on. I have disconnected the battery and ecu but nothing is helping...what can I do to fix the light? It is really annoying so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

So your airbag is hooked up, but you're still getting the light?

are you talking about the Red SRS light?

if so you'd have to tkae out ur dash and behind it there is a small plug that you can take off, its connected by yellow color wires (from what i can recall) and you can take that off. it not for anything but the red SRS light soyea... just unplug it and electrical tape it up or something u'll be fine

btw i have a sparco steeringwheel no airbag, and yes you'll still have to unplug that plug to get rid of the light.

I have the stock steering wheel with the airbag installed...I am not looking to unplug the light...there has to be a way to clear the light. I guess I will contact the dealership or something.

i had the same problem. after pulling some fuses the light came on.

if you still want functioning airbags do not disconnect stuff or pull the bulb out. doing that will cause the airbags to not function.

FYI - all yellow wires and connectors are for the sirbags.

Correct. I replaced my steering wheel with an aftermarket removeable one. My SRS light was on. I then replaced my cluster with a VTi cluster, and those clusters don't have an SRS light.

If the light is on, does the mean your airbag system (in my case, the passengerside one) won't work?

yes if that light is on, the airbags should not work.
