Default legality of seatbelt removal?

i'm putting in an autpower rollbar soon and i'm wondering if there are any legal issues with removing the rear seatbelts? the rear seats won't be there, so why should the belts be there.

As long as no one sits back there, I don't see why not... I took mine out a while ago and haven't had any problems (then again, I haven't been pulled over).

monkeyman, bob is right. seriously, quick question though, why do you want to pull the rear seats? it'll bump up your points at nasa. the car is not going to be head and shoulders faster without the rear seats and belts. just curious, that's all.
