Default my 10sec b16 engine build for the hatch 56k take a nap...

Well ive been buying everything for my engine thats going in the hatch for about a year now so i figured it was time to post up the progress of it so far.. Heres the spec's on my engine...

Engine block prep. JGE PRO SERIES B16A STROKER (1937cc)
Hot tank and clean yes
Step deck yes .0015
Resleeve yes / JGE ductile iron
Bore cylinders Yes to 84mm
Power hone Yes, finished with sunnen AN300 stones
Deck block surface yes / with step to maximize head gasket seal
Crankshaft 89.0mm
Balance Yes, ultra balanced
Main bearings Yes, using hand lapped oe bearings pink
Rod bearings Yes, using hand lapped oe bearings pink
Thrust bearings yes
Oil pump New type R oil pump with billet gear
Seals and gaskets yes
Con rods JGE Light weight I beam
Pistons CP race pistons
Piston size 84mm
Comp ratio 9.0
Ring pack JGE custom
Head studs ARP torque two steps. 50 / 70 psi.
Head gasket Cometic .051

Please if you have anything bad to say about JGE's service or engine building please keep it out my thread i have delt with them for a long time and have had no problems with them

A old *** pic of the hatch. Right now the hatch is completly tore down there isnt much left. In the next couple days i will add some more pics of everything in doing to interior and some more pics of the engine setup.. thanks

Im guessing its right around 15 grand right just for all the engine stuff. Ive spent a good amount of money on interior pieces to but i havnt really kept track.

I try not to keep track so i dont **** myself off with all the money ive spent...

yeah im going to run full interior and everything in the interior was pretty much shot when i bought the car , plus im getting a 6pt roll cage. There some other things im going to do to it to i just havnt got that far yet ive been trying to finish up getting all the things i need to get this engine in...

As of right now im just going to go with hondata but im thinking of going with AEM. Hp goals well ill be happy with 500 but i think its going to end up going higher then that.

Yeah I can't see doing all that work for 500hp..I hope you make atleast 600hp out of it..What are the specs on that gt35r..?

Yeah when i started it all i just wanted 500 but now who knows i guess ill just have to see how it goes

and the specs on the gt35r i went with the 0.82 a/r and it has a 0.70 a/r compressor housing on it. Good to over 600hp

what rods (model not brand) are needed to run the ls crank in a b16a? what displacement increase does this have and whats the r/s equate to ?
