Default Dyno'ed my H22 Crx today!

Well here are the numbers on a dyno dynamics dynamometer at Horsepower Connection local here in Olympia, WA. Real nice guys and knowledgable. He has a 1200 hp Twin Turbo v8 66 Nova drag car. There website is http://www.HorsepowerConnection.com . I was quite pleased with numbers on a p13 ecu. Peak hp was at 6900. I made 158 ft lb tq at 3200 rpm. My base today was 182 whp slight adjustment of the cam gears and dist. Which makes me believe I am near max with the jdm h22 cams and or the p13 ecu. Type S are on my wish list along with a p28. My mods are below. The header really seemed to help out a lot.

obd1 JDM LSD H22A I/H/E
SS valves stock replacements
PnP by me stock else
30k mill of the head
Skunk2 cam gears
BandM FPR at 45 psi open throttle
8 lb fidanza flywheel
stage 3 XTD clutch
secondarys hooked up to vtec 5500 rpm
spoon chipped JDM p13 ecu
Header was a custom obx 4-2-1 top and a custom downpipe which was a 2 2" into 2.5" collector and exhaust

That torque curve looks amazing, and that VTAC engagement looks good too.

220+ to the fly I was kinda shocked also on the 158 tq at 3200 but if your a lucky one and driven in it you would definetly feel it
On my 2" drop I have 3 1/2" of ground clearance which is plenty and 1/2" between highest point on the valve cover and the stock usdm hood.
I need type S cams and a p28!!! only so much i can do with the p13...if I had about 30 min more probably coulda pulled off a 190...

JDM Type S = 220 flywheel hp. JDM H22= ~200 flywheel hp.

Get a B16 transmission bro and you'll see your numbers go up, and your track times go wayyyyy down .

It's the ultimate combo!

people need to also remember the differences in dynos. i really wouldn't compare his dyno #'s to those from say a dynojet or dynapak. but from what i've seen, the dyno dynamics dyno that he was on, does generally read lower then a dynojet or dynapak.

on that same dyno, a K20ek with bolt ons made 189whp.

good #'s. get that H2B adapter kit on and when you gonna boost it ?

what are you talking about?? the b16 tranny will not fit onto that motor. You have to get an adapter to use that transmission.

Why is the torque so high and the HP so low for the setup your running? Do you know?

Great, great. Nice numbers, torq and power looks nice.

I've always wondered how it feels to drive crx with 2.2 litres of H22. Guess its very easy and fun.

Looks like your secondaries open up too late. That's wht the vtec curve seems to be off.

Get a cheap *** vtec controller, and hook them up to it. Set them to 3800 or something. You'll notice a big difference. Same thing with those awful IAB's I have in my GSR.

Ya all in all if I was robbed a few ponies still a good starting point...When I got my engine the IAB box was broken, I just used a misc. solenoid that I didnt need and hooked it up to my vtec sol. All I know is when vtec engages its like instant boost ... I am not quite sure about what is planned for next year... once I commit to cams it will drive me in a direction type s cams probably boost...more aggressive cams NA... this is my DAILY DRIVER! All I know is I need some slicks to get into the 12s Below is a pic I took yesterday of the bay. I like to think its a clean swap OEM looking

Obviously, an adapter plate is needed.

I didn't feel I should have to type out what steps he needs to take before installing a b16 transmission.

Most of us here know what the H2B kit is, I didn't think I had to mention it....

182 hp and 158 tq should be able to easily get a crx into the 12's with slicks. We run 13.5 on street tires on a ls/vtec with 191 hp and only 135 tq.
