Default PUTTING A ZC IN 89 CRX SI

hey guys. i got me a zc today for 100 and want to put it in my crx,what all will i need for the swap i dont have any of the mounts off the zc. so what mounts will i need? and what intake is better the zc or the si? well thanks guys

Use the ZC intake and the mounts off your D series engine that is currently in the car.

anyone have any timi g cover parts,mine are missing!!!!!!!!!

pluse,what about clearing the hood guys?

is there any probs there?

pluse i have a set of arp head studs for a d seires i got them for my z6 but was told will work on any d series,will they work on the zc?

Mine can't clear the hood to save its life when the timing belt cover is on.

Furthermore, it jams my hood latch with the pressure it exerts on it, so to get it open I have to reach in the door for the latch while my foot hits the front of the hood. Hope I can find a ZC or SIR hood for cheap sometime.

man,this is a d16a1, i have been ready that it wont fit in the dam crx for **** and i have the si tranny. man is this true. i hope not

trim underside of the hood. that's what i did.

a D16A1 is not a ZC and it won't bolt right into 88-91 CRX/Civic - you might be able to do it if you fabricated mounts - lot of work for $100 engine

u should get the swap that i hav a jdm sohc zc same as the d16a6 but has more power and torque and uses the same mounts and ecu

As far as clearing the hood you can trim the ribbing on the hood or get 4 1/8" washers and put them in between the motor mount on the drivers side. I did that and it clears my hood fine even with the timing belt cover on.
