he is right... just search for cams because there is so much **** here on h-t about cams. but if you want my opinion and you have the money... go Toda or Rocket

 

The B16B already has great cams. With the stock bottom end, with the good cams, you'll be spinning it way up high to get the peak power.

"D"'s make good power in the upper rev ranges.

 

had Toda Bs in my B16a. with an aebs manifold and 65mm TB, i peaked at around 9000 rpms/115 tq and my header had a 2.5" collector outlet after the merge. All too big for a 1.6L. I peak at 8300 and made 119 tq with a stock ITR TB/mani combo.

if your gonna get any cams for it, just stick with a B16 manifold, and mod a B16 exhaust manifold at the collector to taper out from 2.0" to 2.5" at the collector flange and go with a 2.5" exhaust.

anything bigger will just redefine the torqueless wonder.

 

if you want a mid range nice outcome, i would look at the buddy clubs.. they are cheap and will serve their purpose.

if you want something that will set you apart from the rest and actually make you proud for puttinga little money into your car, then the Rocket Motorsports will do the job! no doubt
