entire reason for doing this, wanted to give my brother an xmas present, and hes got a yellow 600rr and this was the closest body to his i could find, so i wanted to make it look more like his.

1. took the bike apart (didn't like the colors)


2. sanded, primed, sanded, primed, sanded, sanded, primed etc.


3. painted the chassis (3 parts) with dupont vibrant canary yellow base coat
4. two clear coats (the clear coat caused a reaction to occur that i wasn't expecting, the red from the origional body started the seep through the yellow and it made the paint look tie dye (not what i wanted)
*sparkles were added to the clear to add a more custom look just for the hell of it


5. re-assembled the entire bike with all pieces
(the side mirrors and front signals are missing because im waiting for my epoxy to thaw out before i can glue them back on.

 

It looked better before IMO
