Default Koni/GC question...

planning on getting a new susp. setup. right now i have tein HA's but im planning on switching over to Koni Yellows and ground controls. my question would be what would spring rates would i be running? i currently have a b-series motor in my EK (96+ civic). im also just going to be using it for daily driving and long distance freeway driving.

If its just for daily driving I say get 8K/6k. Normal Konis can't handle rates much higher then that. If you want higher rates, you'll need to get them revalved.

If your really not sure, just call GC directly to place yoru order. Tell them of your swap & your desired end result. Don't fool yourself though. If you really don't plan on road racing or auto crossing, don't tell them it's gonna be a race car. If you do plan to race, be specific about it though (RR, AX or Drag). I say this because there is no sense in making your car harsher than it needs to be. This way they can put a custom kit together for you that will suit your needs. If your need change in the future, it's as easy as ordering a couple replacment spirngs...

My street only 94CX rolles on 400f & 250r & I love it.

just get the OTS rates, its fine for daily driving, ride is still great, and there is enough bumb in rate to give you a more responsive feel.
