Default A* TZ-1 vs A* smx air flow

I'm deciding which jacket to buy. In your opinion, which jacket is better and why? Or if you were buying one, which jacket would you guys recommend? thanks Vin

If you're gonna do a lot of cold weather riding, the TZ-1 will do fine. Don't know much about the SMX Air Flow. Probably not because isn't it perforated? Anyways.. I don't like the TZ-1 because the padding on the shoulders, elbows and forearm aren't very well padded compared to like my Dainese.

Its not so bad once it breaks in, I dont even notice it there anymore.

And about cold weather riding, the few times I rode in the 30's, even the very few pieces of perforation up by the shoulder/chest on the TZ-1 let alot of cold air through, enough to be bothersome. Its fine as a summer jacket though, I had no problems with getting too hot in it.

I have both Jackets. Both are nice but the SMX air flow is the best specially for warm/hot day riding here in Los Angeles. If i have to choose one, i would choose the SMX air flow. You can always wear the liner that comes with the Jacket and wear a thermal to keep you warm on cold days. When i say theramal, get those thick thermal from Old Navy. Dont use the regular thermals you get from Target or Wallmart(if you are riding in really cold weather).
