Works flawlessly.. few light scratches from normal wear and tear, but nothing too bad. I dont know which gen it is, I know it's an older one with the non-color lcd screen. Holds TONS of songs. Can take pics if anyone is really interested. Reason for selling is that my bro got a new 40gb ipod that can play movies and stuff, so his old one NEEDS TO GO.
