Default Stock gsr build up Come help

I gotta stock gsr and I've decide to go with the itr setup. This cars going to be a daily thats why I picked the itr setup. If I get itr cams and springs will I need to raise my compression? Do I need to get itr pistons? How can I make my compression the same as a itr? Hks makes a metal headgasket thats 2 layers that will raise the compression is this necessary?

ITR cams, sp/ret. are a good start. To get the same compression you can easily have your head milled. Milling your head will be much easier and cost effective versus tearing your bottom end apart. I would also use a different intake manifold (ITR, Skunk, etc).

Raising your compression will help the larger ITR cams.

Good luck!

You do not NEED arp head studs, but while your head is apart you might as well put them in.

O ok Ill have that installed also. Do you know all the parts to make my gsr run like a itr? I'm already getting the cams/springs/valves.

Ok so I need itr cams/retainers&retainers/valves. Hks makes a metal head gasket that raises compression 0.2-0.4 should I get these too?

If you want to make more power, you need to consume more fuel. One way of doing that is to upgrade the dynamics that make your engine breath. Bigger cams, better intake, higher revs (upgraded springs/ret.) and higher compression will make more power.

Here is a short list;

*ITR/CTR cams
*ITR intake manifold
*ITR throttle body
*ITR springs/ret.
*mill the head
*ARP studs (not needed, but why not)

I wouldn't waste money on an HKS heasd gasket, just use a stock one.

You can use any spring/ret. combo you want. I personally use Omni in my street motors, but thats up to you. Im doing a GSR build right now for a guy, and he insisted on using KMS valvetrain.

O ok so all I need is the
*ITR/CTR cams
*ITR intake manifold
*ITR throttle body
*ITR springs/ret.
*mill the head
*ARP studs
and I can pick any springs&retainers? Yea I heard the skunk2 are kidda stiff so I'll probably go with kms or omni.

Get a Spoon, or Mugen headgasket for a little added compression. I'd go with the Omni Springs and retainers, they arent too expensive. Try to find a CTR intake cam, they are a little ****** than the ITR intake cam. Either a CTR or ITR exhaust cam, they are all the same. I dont think that the ITR intake mani will fit on a GSR head, so id go with a Skunk2. Then find yourself an ITR header, and you should be set.

You are correct, an ITR manifold will not fit. Its been a really loooong day! Get a Skunk 2.
