Default Spec (brand) Clutches

I have the opportunity to purchase a Spec Stage 3 clutch. It will be included with a z6 tranny and 7.5 lb. Fidanza flywheel. Has anybody used one and how do you like it?

Never heard of them.

What exactly is the stage 3? Carbon/kevlar disk, 6 puck, 3 puck, sprung hub, unsprung hub, etc?

there site says theres stage 1, 2, 2+, 3, 3+, 4, & 5.

stage 3 is a sprung carbon 4 or 6 puck capable of up to 299ft/lb of torque.

im interested in getting the stage 2.

stage 2 is a sprung kevlar full face capable of up to 280ft/lb of torque.

i want the kevlar because it lasts forever. anybody use have s spec clutch and wanna share there thoughts?

I have had one of these spec stage two clutches before, it was okay little pedal pressure. It didn't last long ate up the clutch disk pretty bad but that was last year when I had mine, they might have made a better clutch disk but I wouldn't recommend it.

I've heard mixed opinions on them. They seem to perform well, but don't last as long as some of the other available options.
