Default block gaurd instalation question (for a dohc zc)

i got a blockgaurd (from kms) but they have been screwing up my orders lately, so i figured i should ask.....how much bigger should the block gaurd be then the outside area of the cylinder walls?? because when i went to line the gaurd up....it looks like theres no way it would fit. So im wondering if it should be that much bigger(so when installed it would keep everything in place) i thought i would ask 1st before i end up damaging my block. thanks for any help

It shouldn't go in by hand, but instead with some gentle love from a rubber/rawhide mallet.

But not all-out brute force......

KMS is garbage. Do a search to find out how many people they have screwed over and how they build engines.

Find a different phone to call from. They may just be checking their caller ID and going "oh, don't pick up".

Good point, I think you can file a complaint with the better buisness bureau and see what they have to say. I think they have their own lawyers and might be able to help. Its worth a shot if you got nothing else.

seeI dunno.....you shouldn't need to locktight em....I got a raceeng one....(99 bucks plus shippin from their websit) and it pressed in but you have to have it honed after it is installed ....it should press in nicely

just shave it to fit well Its not good to just pop one in anyway you need to put in in before the slugs to test fit the cylinders you might need to hone it if you stuff it in the motor wont urn easily
