b16a swap in 92 civic cx
Okay, which axles should I use if i'm putting a 1st gen b16 (cable type) in a 92 civic hatch. I got axles from a 91 integra axles, they are both too short. Just barely though on the passengers side. At first I thought 94+ integra axles, but then i realized that was totally wrong. I'm guessin i'm gonna have to get some fabbed up, but I was curious if anyone had encountered this before.

B series in a 5th gen civic = 94+ integra axles... seems good to me.
Well, the cable type transmission recieves two female axles(with different length splines), the hydrolic b-series trannys are different, you've got one female and one male.
I personally think the guy should have bought a hydro tranny and been done with it, but he's already invested in the HASPORT kit.

nah the first gen B16s are differant...you may need to go w/ the custom axles from hasport I believe....they mate a 94 teg outer end w/ a 90-93 inner.
The outers and inners on the 90-93 are both cool, it's just that the length was too short. Yeah, i think it's gonna require custom work.
One thought we had was to take the inner joints that came with the engine and dissasemble them, then attach them to drivers side civic axles, which are for some reason the right length.
The 90-93 axles might have worked but they were already pulling out of the tranny so we figured even if they were bending the other way with the car on the ground, they would still be pulling out, probably more, as the car is pretty low now thanks to it's new drivetrain.

Okay, another thing, 1st gen b16a distributors have a different pulse rate than usdm motors right? It is having major mis-fire problems also. We're using a skunk 2 ecu. I think that it's not recognizing the tdc sensor? Anyone ever done one of these swaps?
